Barb managed a number of businesses until she purchased
and ran her own for a number of years. Three kids later,
she decided to stay home and be a mom. After all the
kids were in school, she got bored and started canning
in her kitchen to pass her time.
Some of the recipes have been passed down from grandma,
others have been picked up here and there and still
others have been made up by Barb. You can be certain
that all recipes have had Barb’s touch that gives
her products that unique and special flavor you can
taste today.
Family and friends became the major recipients of
her product and kept wanting more of her product all
along encouraging her to go out and sell to the public.
Her husband gave her the name "Saucy Ladies" because
he said she was doing the work of two women and he
liked the ring of "Saucy Ladies". With this
name and her product, she started her business in November
of 1998.

She started slowly going to
farmer’s markets and Christmas shows. Today,
her business has expanded from canning in her
kitchen at home to a certified shop and is growing
all the time.
Barb is always experimenting and trying new
products to add to her already popular line up
of pickles and sauces.
If you live in Lethbridge, you will also be
able to purchase her cabbage rolls and take your
pick of her eight flavors of perogies. |
